I moved to this new place in June 2023 from Greenbelt PGCPS, and I was nervous about how things would turn out. I thought I would be alone in 8th grade and would have to start high school without any friends. However, things turned out to be much better than what I had expected. When I first joined, I hardly spoke to anyone because I was too scared to talk to people that much. But then I realized that people here are very nice and kind. The teachers like Ms.Jordan are supportive, and the students are welcoming.

 When I joined, I was surprised by the variety of programs available at LEMS. They have an SGA, numerous enrichment programs, GT, and many after-school programs. What's even more impressive are the opportunities you can get here. The counselors at LEMS help you prepare for high school every step of the way and are always here whenever you need help with anything. So this is what it was like as a new kid at LEMS
