A new after-school sports program called RISE (Recreation-Inspired Sports for Everyone) is beginning this winter at Lake Elkhorn Middle School, in partnership with HCPSS, Howard County Recreation & Parks (HCRP), and the Horizon Foundation.

Get active and represent our school with coed multi-sports and basketball.  Students will enjoy team play as they learn fundamentals or advance game skills through new and familiar sports each week led by certified coaches. 

• Participants will meet for two hours immediately after school with planned breaks for snacks and water.

• Fee:

  • $70

  • Free and reduced meal participants qualify to play for $35.  Qualifying families should contact Mrs. Shindel or Mr. Cometa for the discount code prior to registering, or for information)

  • Students who do not receive free and reduced meals may may qualify for financial assistance for free transportation. Call registration at 410-313-7275 for more information.
