HCPSS is seeking Howard County teachers, citizens, and HCPSS students in grades 8-11 to serve on the Secondary Language Arts Criteria Review Committee/Instructional Materials Committee. This committee consists of teachers, students, parents, and community members who meet to advise, support, and advocate for the continuous improvement of the Secondary Language Arts program.

The purpose of the committee is to review selection criteria for instructional materials, revising selection criteria and review any materials requested for reevaluation.

Membership is for two years (2021-2023). All meetings will be held virtually for the remainder of the current school year and we will provide copies of any texts under review.

Application deadline is April 9, 2021

All applicants will be notified about the status of their application by April 16, 2021.
