American Education Week, 2020

American Education Week is November 16-20, 2020.  Each year we look forward to honoring public education and the many individuals who make a difference in ensuring that every student receives a quality education. As partners in your child's education, we hope you'll join us for the different activities we have planned throughout the week!
 
- Monday:
  • Virtual Classroom Visits: Sit alongside your student, and join in any or all of your child’s classes this week! 
  • Tech Talks***: Report cards are available today!  Join Mr. Howse, media specialist, for a Tech Talk to earn more about how to access your child's report card and gradebook. Ms. Howse will also be available to answer any questions that you may have as you navigate Canvas.  All sessions are the same, but several are offered throughout the day:
    • 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
    • 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
    • 2:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
    • 3:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

  • Meet and Greets***: We invite you to join us for a virtual “Meet & Greet” with your child’s team of teachers. Meet & Greets will provide parents, teachers and staff the chance to have casual conversations about topics of your choice.  The schedule is as follows:
    • 6th Grade Meet & Greet
      • 11:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.

      • 12:00 p.m. - 12:45 p.m.

- Wednesday: Coffee & Conversation***: Join the LEMS administrators - Mrs. Shindel, Mr. Cometa, Ms. Sica and Ms. Guinn - for a casual conversation about topics of your choice.  
  • 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

- Thursday: Virtual Classroom Visits: Sit alongside your student, and join in any or all of your child’s classes this week! 
 
- Friday: Virtual Classroom Visits: Sit alongside your student, and join in any or all of your child’s classes this week! 
 
***Please ask your child for their username and password so you can join us. If your child forgets their username or password, go to hcpss.me, scroll down to "Students & Staff" and click either "Change Password" or "Forgot Password or Username".
