Contest deadlines have been extended until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13!

The Howard County Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission will host the Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration on January 19, 2020 at Howard Community College.  A highlight of the celebration is the presentation of awards to HCPSS middle and high school students' essay contest winners.

The year's theme is, "Racial injustice around the world. Poverty. War. When man solves these three great problems he will have squared his moral progress with his scientific progress.  And, more importantly, he will have learned the practicality of living in harmony." -Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
