Lake Elkhorn Middle School is excited to host its first e’STEAM Family Fun Night on Tuesday, April 17th from 5:30PM – 7:30PM. During the event, students and families will engage in various activities showing them all that Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics has to offer. Families will also get a glimpse of all LEMS has to offer (which is a lot!) by engaging in some of the amazing things we do in our school.
Students and families will board the STEAM Train and hop off at a variety of stations, receiving a stamp in their passport for each station they choose to visit. At each station, they will have an opportunity to engage in fun, hands-on activities and challenges relating to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). Some featured station activities include:
-
Very Berry DNA - exploring how to extract DNA from strawberries
-
Get APP Me - using coding to create a phone app
-
Pitch Perfect - building an instrument with high or low pitches
So don’t miss out on this night of fun and learning. There will be food, prizes, and so much to explore!
