By Temi
October 22, 2015
I interviewed 6th grade geography teacher, Mrs. Palazzo, see how our interview went!
SN: Tell me a bit about yourself.
Mrs. Palazzo: I was born in Rhode Island. But I just moved here last August. I got married this May, and I have a black lab named Jack.
SN: What do you like about teaching?
Mrs. Palazzo: I love being able to guide students and teach them how to be independent.
SN: What teachers do you work well with?
Mrs. Palazzo: There’s a lot but mostly I work with Mrs. Carns, Mrs. Figueroa, Mr.Lally, Mrs. Madden, Mr. Gatz, Mrs. Dennis, Mrs. Elms, and Mr. Y.
SN: What ways do you assess and evaluate students?
Mrs. Palazzo: When they answer questions, work in groups, and allow flexibility to choose how to show they understand.
SN: Are you a flexible teacher, if so, explain how?
Mrs. Palazzo: I have learned to be. Sometimes I have a plan, but sometimes the students start a conversation of something important, my plan gets sidetracked.
SN: Do your classes behave well?
Mrs. Palazzo: Some better than others.
SN: Name three words that describe you.
Mrs. Palazzo: Loyal, helpful, motivated.
SN: Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Mrs. Palazzo: Still teaching, duh.
